The Loomis Quilt and Fiber Guild (LQ & FG) was the brainstorm of Alanna Butts and several very dedicated quilters. The purpose of the Guild is “to promote cooperation and interchange of ideas among those engaged or interested in quilting and fiber arts: to maintain high standards of design and technique; to instruct its members in methods and techniques to stimulate interest therein in the community and to hold meetings for the interchange of ideas and to inspire personal achievement.”

In the fall of 2008 Nancie introduced a dance program to enhance the facility and bring music and dance under one roof. Then in 2009 the company included a full youth theatre arts program. Music, Dance, and Theatre Arts are all thriving at the company and have propelled McLaughlin Studios into a full service arts education facility.
Here at McLaughlin Studios, we continue to believe that a knowledgeable and courteous teaching staff and front office staff can provide more services to our community and engage our audiences with incredible music, dance and theatre productions.
Most of our music teachers have a minimum of a university degree in music with many holding masters’ degrees. Our teachers are chosen not only for their qualifications, but for their ability to relate to the students. We teach everyone from beginners to very advanced level students.

The mission of the Cowpoke Foundation is to preserve and promote the American cowboy heritage. Our premier event is the Cowpoke Fall Gathering where cowboy poetry, music and story telling reinforce the “cowboy way” at the heart of western traditions. Educational programs in local schools and youth performances at The Fall Gathering ensure that this heritage continues by exposing young people to these oral folk art forms.
