Recology Auburn Placer provides residential and commercial garbage service, debris box service and recycling to residents and businesses in the cities of Rocklin, Auburn, Town of Loomis and in Unincorporated Placer County. The company processes more than 100,000 tons of garbage and recyclable material annually. Recology Auburn Placer also offers spring clean-up day for residents, and provides commercial cardboard recycling and newspaper drop-off.

South Placer Municipal Utility District (SPMUD) was founded by local community leaders from the City of Rocklin and town of Loomis through a grassroots effort in the 1950’s to create a customer-owned, regional sanitary sewer system for their communities.
South Placer Municipal Utility District provides sewer collection and maintenance service to the City of Rocklin, the Town of Loomis, the communities of Penryn and Newcastle, as well as a portion of Granite Bay.
