2022 Eggplant Festival Cooking Contest Application

Contest INFORMATION

Amateur and community chefs are invited to sign up for the Eggplant Festival Cooking Contest

Entry forms Must be received by end of day,Thursday, Sept. 29, 2022
Actual entries must be submitted as specified in the rules for each contest.
Recipes must be submitted with dish and contestants agree to allow Loomis Chamber to use in promotions.
In all contests, the decision of the judges is final.

Eggplant Cooking Contest Rules

Each dish must use Eggplant as its main ingredient.
(The judge’s definition of Main Dish is final.)
- Entries must be delivered to the Cooking Contest booth no later than 10:15 a.m. on the day of the Festival along with attached recipe.
  (There are no facilities for cooling or heating of food. It must be prepared and ready to serve.)
- Judging will begin at 10:30 a.m.
- Judging criteria: Appearance – Taste – Originality in use of eggplant
Entries must serve 6 portions for three judges to taste.
Cooking Contest winners will be awarded:
- 1st Place $100
- 2nd Place $50
- 3rd Place $25
Dishes and awards must be picked up at the Cooking Contest booth by 1:30 p.m.
