Del Oro High School is located in Loomis, CA, a short drive north-east of Roseville along the I-80 corridor. We are a comprehensive 9-12 grade high school serving its proud community. Loomis is a small rural community east of Sacramento at the start of the foothills leading toward the Sierra Mountains. With a community built on the belief that, “A small town is like a big family,” many of the events in Loomis are centered around the high school. Del Oro was founded in 1959 and currently has close to 1700 students. The positive experience of Del Oro has encouraged many former students to return to the nest as staff. The incredible and supportive environment of Del Oro has encouraged some of the best instructors available to choose D.O. as the place to make their career.

In the fall of 2006, a small group of committed parents, educators, and community leaders formed an exploratory committee to officially start an education foundation for the Loomis basin area. After months of work, the Loomis Basin Education Foundation was officially incorporated on December 21, 2006.
The Loomis Basin Education Foundation (L.B.E.F.) improves the overall educational experience of students in the Loomis Union School District by supplementing academic and enrichment programs while supporting the district’s strategic plan. L.B.E.F. works to raise funds through community involvement and provide financial support to the Loomis Union School District.
