The Loomis Basin Historical Society was founded in 1993 for the purpose of discovering, collecting, preserving, and making accessible the history and heritage of the Loomis Basin Area. The Historical Society works to identify and preserve places of historical interest and promote public awareness of the history of the Loomis Basin; to educate the public on the importance of the Loomis Basin’s role in the history of California and the United States; and to encourage the development of a Loomis Basin history museum. The Historical Society maintains the local history collection and curates special museum shows. Currently, the Historical Society has exhibition space at the Loomis Library and Community Learning Center.

Lighthouse Christian Center is a church striving to become a 21st Century Apostolic Church. We are founded upon the belief that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God.

Our mission is to empower and inspire families and children to shine by serving through volunteer opportunities and supporting community projects and other community non profit organizations. This makes a difference in our communities and teaching life purpose because our community cares. Shine with Purpose will be the conduit connecting the community and the projects needed.

• Who They Are: The Friends of the Loomis Library is a local registered 501©(3) non-profit organization. Since 1986, they have effectively raised funds to support the library and its programs

The South Placer Heritage Foundation operates the historic Blue Goose Event Center which offers a casual, historic event setting for up to 375 people. SPHF is a non-profit organization that remains committed to preserving this historic landmark reminiscent of earlier days, traditional ideals, and the spirit of giving back to a thoughtful community.
